Our Passion

•This background has developed the skills needed to make your child feel at ease and comfortable during their anesthesia experience.

How do you tailor anesthesia for children?

•Anesthesia is calculated using each child’s age and weight.  This helps  deliver the precise amount of medicine needed.

What type of anesthesia will be used?

A light oral sedative given first reduces anxiety.  Your child will breathe Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) at which point an IV will be started so that intravenous medications may be given.  Children do NOT remember this part.

What are the side effects?

Prolonged drowsiness/grogginess and in rare instances mild nausea or vomiting may occur.  This is usually self limited and not a major concern.

Adult Sedation

You know about the importance of regular dental visits, but if a dental phobia is keeping you from enjoying good oral health, it's time to talk to us at Limelight Mobile Sedation.

Sedation dentistry is the perfect choice for those who experience overwhelming dental anxiety because, with a range of options, you'll be completely relaxed and care-free throughout your next dental appointment.

We Specialize in Dental Anesthesia for Children and Adults.

We at Limelight sedation believe that a medical doctor that attended 4 years of medical school is the most qualified person to anesthetize you or your loved one.  The difference lies in the training.  Medical doctors that attain board certification in the specialty of anesthesia have trained for four years after medical school in all types of anesthesia.  We have not only seen the complications that can arise but know how to avoid and solve them if they should occur. There is no short 1 or 2 year course that will give you the experience necessary to see the clinical scenarios to make you a competent anesthesia practitioner.

•Weekly work with special needs children in the dental arena involved caring for children that have autism, developmental delays, cerebral palsy,  and high anxiety  due to previous exposures to medical procedures.

•Dr. Abreu has done more than a dozen charity medical missions to foreign countries caring for children with cleft lips and palates.  He has worked with Operation Smile, Rotaplast, Project HOPE, and Alliance for Smiles.
